I got on the rowing machine a day early. I rationalized: my feet haven't shown big signs of trouble, and tomorrow I'll be on a plane and at a conference.

WOW do I feel good after a session of that.

I'm sure rowing works the biceps and the glutes and stuff, but the spot that gets tired the quickest is my back by the bottom of my ribcage. I may have better posture after a bunch of this.

You just need more foot massages to keep your feet in good shape.

Yeah! Glad to hear your body is approving of movement. Especially those feet. It is so nice to find excercises that work!
Take Care!

Thanks! I used to be sooooo active, so I've been very frustrated. Finding anything I can do to really break a sweat is an enormous relief!

Cheater. ;-)

Good to feel good after stuff like that, ain't it?

It sure is. For a while, I've been telling myself I have two choices: I can be a woman who can't do various things due to painful foot problems, or I can be a BITTER ANGRY woman who can't do various things due to painful foot problems. Neither of those choices are what I wanted, but given that they're what I've got, the choice should be obvious. Of course that doesn't make it easy. Now, with a way to exercise, I just might have a shot at the non-bitter choice!

I can certainly relate to choices like that (but not for the same circumstances/reasons, of course). I'm in a position right now where I'm noticing a serious downhill slide physically, and I'm trying to figure out exactly where to start/which area needs work first in order to get back on track. I think I've chosen the correct key: fix the apnea/snoring issues and hopefully getting more rest will give me more energy to work on the other stuff.

Fixing apnea first makes loads of sense. Sleep is so fundamental and so often ignored.

I'm just hoping hoping hoping that I can get to a point where I can do this three or four times a week with no problem. SO MUCH gets easier if that is possible. My blood pressure will drop down again, my cholesterol numbers will improve, and my mood will be immensely better. Fingers crossed.
