After a very long and singularly useless thread about getting oil varnish off nonstick cookware, I bought some Barkeeper's Friend (the liquid/spray). For a while, though, it was clear I didn't have any actual use for the stuff.

Well, I found out what it's good for. Stainless steel. ... Wait, let me rephrase.

IT IS PHENOMENAL FOR STAINLESS STEEL I LOVE IT AND I WANT TO MARRY IT AND HAVE ITS BABIES.

There, that's more like it.

Barkeeper's Friend cooktop cleaner is MIRACULOUS at getting soap scum off shower doors. I can't believe I spent a decade trying other things before someone told me.

Umm.. you do know that's just vinegar, lemon juice, liquid soap and a bit of sodium bicarbonate? Oh and Oxcyclic acid [another organic acid found in rhubarb.]

You could make your own.

I recently discovered it because I ruined a cookie tray in the dishwasher, and based on some internet advice, a bit of soaking in (the powdered version of Barkeeper's Friend in some water) un-ruined it :-)
