Insomnia may bite the big one, but I am actually hating the nausea more. This morning I've spent about an hour and a half concentrating hard on not losing breakfast. Some days I win that battle; some days I lose. Today I think I am going to win. (How long does a pregnant woman have morning sickness? String it together and I think I'm working on maybe child number three about now.) The evening battles aren't so bad if I can manage to knock myself out with sleeping pills before the worst of it hits. If I can't do that, well, some days I lose. At least when I lose, the battle is OVER and I can climb into bed.

TWO DAYS until I get to see my doctor and tell her that Quality Of Life is going to trump this whole treatment concept. My appointment is Thursday.

Yes! I was just going to say, I had a colleague who was sick for the whole pregnancy. Morning, noon and night. She was working in a biochemistry lab and kept a trashcan nearby. And she would puke, wash up a bit, and get back at it. It was ugly.

Her second pregnancy was just fine though. Not a sign of nausea. Bodies are weird.
