Never mind the solubility rules; memorize the strong acids and bases.

This week, get ahead of things instead of playing catch-up, okay? Sleep is good stuff. You want some. Really.

Especially memorize the strong acids and bases BEFORE you use your thumb as a stopper, and get it caught in the neck of the beaker holding the fuming acid.

Note that for once this didn't happen to me, but a person in our class became an object lesson for chemistry classes to come.

Oh boy! I got to be the object lesson last week, when one of the compounds we were working with was sodium hydroxide. My lab partner pointed out a small strange itchy bump on her arm, and I said wash it now. I showed her the really nice scar I have from ignoring that principle in high school chem.
