Yesterday's free lunch: pasta in assorted sauces, with bread and butter.
Today: someone brought in Krispy Kremes and left them by the microwave.

I don't for one minute think other people should have to change what they're doing for my comfort, but my God, I never knew how AWFUL this sort of thing could be. I am getting a major education here.

edit: AND there's an Enforced Fun at the office tomorrow! Guess what we're having! Pizza and ice cream! I think I feel an attack of bubonic plague coming on. *eyeroll*

the thai sauces were definitely breaking the diet (i haven't done it since then), and i've been pushing it with whole grain pastas as well, though i read that brown rice is okay, just not white.

i was really bad the other day and broke the diet for stouffer's frozen macaroni and cheese and was so sorry, though the gluten-free brown rice version didn't really bother me. and parmesan... that was really bad, too. would love to hear what you find out. i pulled together my version from various websites so i've been trying to err on the side of strictness. and given how much it has helped, i think that makes sense.

what's frustrating to me is that all the sites say to stay on the diet for 4-6 weeks then you can start introducing stuff back in. so i figured after two months it would be okay. it so isn't. at least not for me. i really didn't want this to be a life-long choice. i miss fruit.
