On Friday afternoon I saw my first ever X-ray of a fart. Air shows up dark on the film, y'see.

The good news is that Little Girl had no visible kidney stones. YAY! (Her kidneys were also a little shrunken and lumpy. She's gettin' older. Boo.)

There are some countries where farting is considered just another normal and natural bodily thing, and people don't make any effort to conceal it. Maybe life would be like that if farts were purple.

Or maybe all things deodorizing would be colored yellow. :-)

Interestingly, my sister lived in Japan, and at least in that part of Japan, farting was no big deal but public sneezing wasn't done, or was incredibly suppressed/embarrassing, and folks tried to do it quietly or discreetly. And that's where the germs are.
