...but no doctor today. The guy from the New York pain clinic called me -- excuse me for a moment here:

-- while I was out of town, and he wanted me to call him back when I returned. Now I hear he is coughing a lot and has canceled all his patients for tomorrow. I'm instructed to try again Monday.
