Notes to self:

1. If hot steam scalds you so suddenly that you drop dinner all over the floor, and if you then decide, 10% because you know the floor was recently cleaned and 90% because you are absolutely ravenous, to eat it right where it lies, you will apparently be okay. At least once.

2. Filing causes papercuts. Super Glue lasts through two showers and flakes away on the third. Do not touch your finger with the glue tube.

3. When buying Christmas gifts online for people thousands of miles away, the shipping will bust your budget. Every time. Doofus.

I suspect, without any proof really, that ten seconds in a microwave oven would kill the bacteria without altering the taste of the food. Having a really clean floor is probably better, though.

Maybe the only reason I'm okay is that it stayed scalding hot for a few seconds after reaching the floor. ;-)

Clean enough to eat off of! If you had a dessert too, you could have had a floor wax AND a dessert topping!

As for the superglue, did you fix the paper cuts with it? That's what the stuff is being used for in surgery theatres, after all.

2. superglue on a papercut will keep it from hurting!

I sympathize. I'm trying to participate in the WIsh List Meme this year and the shipping IS the hard part.

Speaking of floor wax, dinner was hard to clean up! I can't just throw the floor into the dishwasher. :-)

Yep, poured it all over the paper cuts. The cuts were those really annoying kind where every time I'd grab a stack of paper and flip through it, something would catch in the cut and it would deepen. So I glued them all shut!

And it will certainly keep paper from snagging in the cut! It was great. I was surprised it didn't last longer, but hey, my finger wasn't perfectly clean when I applied it.

No kidding! Amazon Free Super Saver is my friend, but for other stuff, yeow is it ever expensive.

The shipping charges at half.com are reasonable IMO.
But, um, probably you aren't buying people used books....

*grin* Usually, no, but some of the books on people's wish lists are things not found new any more! :-)
