Funny thing - I sort of miss them. Not a whole lot. But they sure did keep you from getting too compliant. And despite the risk of a major quake, I prefer the occasional jiggle to tornados, hurricanes, ice stormes and other nature nasties.

Little ones I don't mind, and in fact I think that like you I would miss them. For major damage I'd rather have warning. O'course, in return for No Warning Before The Big One, I haven't had to shovel snow for eighteen years. It's a good bargain so far! :-)
