Duchess had ONLY a bad infection!

Duchess lab report is back: not cancerous!! It was tissue that had sloughed away and it was FULL of bacteria. About 4 days after finishing this course of antibiotics, we should do a urinalysis to make sure the infection is gone.

Phew. :-)

I might just have to shave my cat's butt! She's gotten much better about not being a poop in the cat fur magnet, but she used to be.

Oh man, that is SO my cat's problem as well! She's a big ol' FLUFFYBUTT. I will admit to chasing her around the house with a Kleenex in hand, from time to time. My vet even recommended trimming her hair a bit around her rear end!

More TMI, but kind of funny

CB had a cat (Waffles with a sibling named Syrup) that was not only fluffy, but would swipe rubber bands. Once she was bad and ate a rubber band and she ran around with a rubber band sticking out of her butt. From that point on rubber bands were banned from the house forever! Waffles wasn't too keen on the rubberbandman who had to remove said rubber band. Speaking of which, are you reading this week's Get Fuzzy?

Oh man! I'm laughing here, imagining the job of the poor guy who had to extract that rubber band.

After that story I HAVE to tell a story of my sister's. She had a housemate who insisted she cat-sit for her (the housemate's) feisty kitten during finals week. My sister tried to say no, but I guess the housemate just sorta left.

Anyhow. The kitten got into an entire bag of mini-marshmallows. What those do in the digestive tract of a small feline is, apparently, explode. The kitten would hear a noise from behind her and she'd RUN. She was scared and freaked out and seriously jet-propelled. She left a trail wherever she went. The cleanup job was incredible.

My sister didn't cat-sit again. :)

I SO want to give my cat a marshmallow now! Or at least one to my sister's cat. It's kind of dumb and will eat anything. Ha! Little fart propelled kitty! *snort*

Cat farts are the worst because they are stealthy. The only thing worse is middle of the night cat breath waking you up.

Only related because it's sort of about cats. A co-worker emailed me today to tell me she thought she was going to barf. I told her if she was nice I would put a paper towel or newspaper in front of her if she promised to back up like a cat and make *hurf hurf* noises. She emailed back that she laughed enough she felt better.

Well, she is a friend too. She was my roomie until she moved back up north. She and I used to sit here and watch the cats for entertainment when there was nothing on TV.
