I show up tomorrow (Monday) morning at 9:30 at Company M to sign papers. I begin work immediately.

If there are no surprises Monday morning, I'll also immediately start notifying everyone who has my resume. (The faint-but-never-zero possibility of surprises in the printed offer is why this entry is friendslocked for now.)

This ends the Life Ick. I will now be spotty about keeping up with LJ for other reasons, namely a new job!

Thanks! I just got a DO NOT RELAX NOW message, of course. Remember how I don't know *squat* about the stuff this company is doing? Or maybe you don't, 'cause I didn't say. Well, zero zip zilch. They see a smart generalist and they want the smart generalist, and me I'm buying books and looking up acronyms in Wikipedia left and right.

Now they might, if they figure out how to reshuffle people, want me to *lead* a good third of it.

I have a job... and the only prescription is more caffeine... :-)

Happily the kind of intensity you're describing now sounds nicely different from the "Life Ick" kind. I hope the digging into this new stuff (and caffeine consumption) goes well, and that it turns out to be fun and comfy stuff for you. Hmmm, leading the stuff sounds potentially quite exciting!
