Thank you! I want to trade it in for one that's nice for ME. Better function and less drag! ;-)
Yeah, I've been a runner (and hiker and backpacker) for way too long. Plus I'm a girl, so upper body takes extra work, work I have never given it. Swimming and some weights, that's the ticket.
Yeah, ever since college I've been aware that my upper body is very nice for other people. But yanno, I'm 38 now, my lower body is useless, and all those other people have had their turn. It's MY turn now.
Having a rec center sounds convenient. That's a huge boon to an exercise program: low overhead.
It's at the opposite end of campus, of course, but that's like complaining about finding close parking at a gym, IMHO. Going there to exercise, anyway. :-)

I have no arm strength to speak of, either, having concentrated on bicycling, so I understand. If you keep swimming, maybe it'll help?

That's the important part. :-)

I may need to take advantage of the Purdue Rec Center when I start there in August. Probably not swimming, but other stuff.

Soon I will be done with school. Should we plan a "design a weights program for CJ" date sometime after that?
