Post-op appointment this morning. My doctor changed the bandages wrapped all over the outside of my foot but didn't touch the surgical tape over the actual incision. I took a picture, of course (edit: for upload tonight). My feet don't look very pretty. They're orange, wrinkled, and a little bit bruised. They are also starting to smell like feet. Wow did it ever feel good to have clean cotton wrapped around them! I got clean booties, too, and what's more, I got permission to WASH the booties! Oh heaven!

Hmmm... comical, astronomical, economical are the primary choices that come to mind. Have to think about this.

Try this: From metatarsels to the heels, the pain it isn't comical

Or the Tom Lehrer version:

From metatarsals to the heels, I'll solve pain economical. ...ly.

*laugh* We just need to call Mr. Lehrer out of retirement. :-)

We do! I can imagine I'd *greatly* enjoy the songs he would write about current events.

According to an interview I read a while back, he gave some good reasons for his retirment from musical satire:

I'm not tempted to write a song about George W.Bush. I couldn't figure out what sort of song I would write. That's the problem: I don't want to satirise George Bush and his puppeteers, I want to vaporise them. (http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/02/28/1046407753895.html)

Right -- it's not W that quieted him down in 1965, but (as he says in this quote and later in the article) he got too angry. That is indeed the death of a comedian. Too bad, though.

Yeah, I didn't mean W was the specific reason for retiring way back then, but I know it keeps him out now, and I liked the quote. :-)

There's always Roy Zimmerman[1], though his recent stuff has been disappointing.

I'll heed the doctor's orders (there's no fear of my forgetting them!)
And wrap them up in bandages, and shy away from wetting them
And educate my friendslist in a proper sense of wariness
By posting loads of pictures of astounding sanguinariness

(sorry - long day :))

SANGUINARINESS! Marry me? Oh wait... :-)

Well, since you ask so nicely... :)
