If I simply post a link to this LJ photo gallery I just made, does that allow you folks to see all the pictures? (Caution: if that link works you'll see thumbnail images, four of which are medical-icky.)

Yes!!

And they're really cool! I love medical stuff.

I'm not surprised you hurt, with nasties like that in there.

I am fascinated by medical stuff! Even when it makes me queasy to think about it too much, it fascinates me.

I *swear* they didn't look that big on the MRI. I'm impressed.

I am fascinated by medical stuff!

Seeble. When I had the cyst I've referred to removed (actually twice - it was dumbell-shaped and the first time the first doc didn't get all of it) the last time, I was only given a local and they draped everything around my arm so I could hardly see, and I was straining to look over and watch. I'd also never had a problem being queasy about it until two things happened, fairly close together in time: 1) Before my first hernia repair surgery, I had to have seven vials of blood drawn for tests, and I tried to watch all of that. By the fourth one, I was woozy. 2) I watched a series that used to be on The Learning Channel called The Operation quite a lot - they showed actual surgeries. All sorts of them never bothered me to look at. Then they showed a face lift. I never realized how literal the term was. Eugh.

I'm still fascinated, but I have to keep the queasiness in check more than I used to.

I am VERY squeamish while something is actually occurring. I have managed to make myself woozy enough to have to lie down, just from watching my cat get subcutaneous fluids. There we were in the exam room, her purring like the happiest creature on earth, and me on the floor with my hand over my face.

But afterward, or beforehand, I'm WAY fascinated. One of my most intriguing memories is of watching a television (pre-cable) show where they'd filmed an entire heart bypass surgery. WOW. I admit I couldn't eat Hunan Chicken for a little while after that, but WOW, what a show.
