I have plane tickets to go see The Mikado. The eastbound leg is a redeye with a plane-change four hours in. That'll be tasty.
I have no idea how I'm getting out to Natick from the airport, but hey, I'll figure out something. If nothing else Boston has public transportation. My parents aren't but two miles from a commuter rail station, and they're even less far from an airport bus that might still be running. Extra bonus points: it's winter, so if I walk a couple miles I'm also icing my feet! Yeah OK, that was lame humor. And that last sentence was worse.
Now I don't know whether to tell my parents ahead of time or surprise them. 8-) 8-) Maybe I'll find out whether they have come across my LiveJournal yet!

Just wanted to say hello! It's always nice to see that there are other cool people in my vicinity!
And, to throw in the random $0.02 of a complete stranger whose opinion you have no reason to appreciate or heed, I'd say surprise them. Having been surprised by someone dear to me who'd flown almost as far as you're going to, to see me on stage, I can say it's almost a better buzz than the show itself. :)

When I'm not at work, I'm in Sunnyvale. Close enough, though.
Yeah, I did have that itch to surprise them, but my sister (first choice for "accomplice in the surprise") said tell them ahead of time and let them anticipate it. So I did. They were incredibly happy over the phone. I still think maybe the surprise would have been better, but oh well, what's done is done. :)
