Since you all love to hear me whine. :-)

- Girl Pain subsiding. Woke me up last night, but 2 Aleve let me sleep again. Installation of semi-permanent pain limiting device scheduled for a week from Monday. Cross fingers that it fits. I'm shaped wrong, so it may not. Either way, that'll be the Doctor Appointment from Hell. I have been warned to load myself up to the eyeballs in painkiller.

- Foot pain bad and getting worse. At car dealership yesterday, spent less than an hour walking/riding around before I had to start to hobble. Haven't run in at least two weeks. Not sure neuromas are the only problem. If I were sure, I might just go kill them... wish I were sure. Need to talk to podiatrist. Did I mention I ran into him at a restaurant the other day? Amusing!

- Base of right thumb behaving rather well lately. For a couple of days now, combing my hair has been okay. Thank goodness something's being nice! :-)

Maybe you and [livejournal.com profile] rampling need to cuddle up with the morphine together!

And it's such a fine vintage. ;-)

Speaking of not running, I was out for a 2 mile walk yesterday, and decided to try to run. 44 double paces later my left knee damn near collapsed under me. I went out for another 2 mile walk this morning with some residual knee pain, but it went away quickly. Lesson: Do NOT run. Walk. At least until I weigh somewhat less and knees are stronger.

My condolences on the girl pain.

I don't think you mean Nuva Ring (http://www.nuvaring.com/), so I can only think of one alternative. Which causes me to ponder the variety of shapes that alternative comes in, and hope one of those varieties will actually fit well. I hope so!

but we love you CJ, that's the important part. if we decided to only pick-n-choose what we wanted about you, we'd be missing out on a LOT. (i have a rheumatologist appt tomorrow, and because of you i'm more likely to stand up for myself to him)

*offers up some nice cheese to go with the whine*

Drugs are good m'kay. Ah the joys of inner pain. It's fun to be a girl.

The Mirena sounds cool. I had an IUD for years -- I loved it, but it made my periods heavier, not lighter. This thing sounds wonderful! I hope it fits -- I'll be sending good vibes. =hughughug=

By the way, when mine was put in it certainly wasn't fun, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I'd been led to expect. YMMV, of course, and loading up on painkillers is wise, but it might not be as awful as you think. (Do you need any Percocet? Not that I could give you any of mine, of course, since that would be illegal. But if I had your address I could send you -- um, a letter, telling you all about them.)

Not sure neuromas are the only problem. If I were sure, I might just go kill them... wish I were sure.

Please forgive my horrible memory ... have you had an MRI of your foot?

Yay! Hey, anything that makes the overall pain load less is great!
