I have no idea about all these things. I'm still trying to figure out if it will rewind an audio CD or whether I'll hurt my CD somehow. What if it's not compatible?
Ooooo. Good point! You probably need a different device for audio CDs, or maybe DVD rewinders work on audio CDs, but not the other way around; I keep forgetting.
Another thing to watch out for is rewinding a disc that is already rewound. Overwinding could have similar effects to overwinding my watch (yes, my watch is digital - I use my fingers to wind it). Now, maybe this device has a rewind regulator, but if it doesn't I think you could end up over-rewinding a disc which could build up enough tension that it might explode in a sudden release of undirected energy, possibly damaging the disc, the rewinder, or possibly even bystanders.
