Well, I happen to think it's a lovely complexion, but then I have some cultural biases that way.
It'll be nice when someone comes up with simple melanin pills that people can take to adjust their skin color to suit conditions. But even the darkest people I know still worry about sunburn at times.
Why thank you. I like it too... on other people. (I'm like those people who like breasts as long as they don't have to be the ones to carry them around.)
You're right, a darker complexion isn't a cure-all. And I suppose if science were going to come up with something to help humanity, I might go for apomictic corn or an inexpensive AIDS vaccine or self-defense telekinesis for battered women before I'd go for melanin pills. Oh well :-)
Ouch! I try to keep sunblock in my car at all times, just in case I forget to put it on before leaving the house. 'Course, that wouldn't help if you didn't go in your car! But with my family history (skin cancer of several varieties), it's really important that I at least ATTEMPT not to get more sunburns. I feel for you.... *sympathetic smile*
Mine's in my hiking pack. The day was cold enough, and I had my jacket on enough of the time, that I just didn't think of it. Oops. Glad I had a hat, at least.
I figure you use the strongest one you can find, too, just like me? :-)
