30-minute run today: check
I was able to stretch two-and-a-small-fraction miles out to be half an hour. I'm impressed! At that pace, I could spend nearly two hours running Bay-to-Breakers. And that's if it didn't have hills. Or crowds.
I'm beginning to feel the lack of any exercise whatsoever above the waist. My arms, back, and abs could really use some help. I suppose soon it will be getting quite warm out. Maybe I'll chop off my hair and start swimming.
Am trying to figure out how, and whether, to try to run two miles before Thursday morning's laparoscopy. I'm sure I won't be doing it after.

Ran. Took vitamins. Ate a meal. Purchased cat food and fed the cats some of it. This puts me just one meal and one shower behind where I somehow feel I ought to be at this hour of the day.
jackiecat is adorable. She's sitting with her back to the sun, so she's got a golden sparkly furry halo around her otherwise black self.
Any aviation medical examiners reading this? Thursday morning I go in for laparoscopy, at sea level. I understand this will inflate my abdomen with CO2, pockets of which may remain afterwards to be gradually reabsorbed by the body. How soon can I safely and sanely be a passenger in an unpressurized light plane? How soon a pilot-in-command?
Powell's rules! Soon to arrive: an English-Scottish Gaelic/Scottish Gaelic-English dictionary, an introductory German text, a dictionary of German slang and rude words, one mindless escapist fantasy novel, and two out-of-print books by an author I like. Mmm, tasty yummy delicious books!
