Happy day

Spent a couple hours this morning looking through old LJ posts, to help put 2001/2002 photos in chronological order. Ah, nostalgia.

Lunch with gs and joedecker. Yummy Mandarin Gourmet. I learned that the word CUPERTINO on the restaurant's sign is set in Optima. I do so love hanging around with geeks.

Immediately went out on a short hike at Rancho San Antonio with Rob. I'm glad the weather is nice so I can do little things like that outdoors. For a January day, it's been lovely. And this is one small step towards being at least somewhat fit when the summer backpacking season rolls around. [note careful denial about the issue of backpacking alone. i get along fine, with a little help from denial.]

Now jackiecat is reminding me that I haven't petted her for at least ten minutes. Oh gosh. Must go remedy that.

Photo organization again

Over Labor Day Weekend, 2001, I started organizing my photos since 1989. I then abandoned the project for over a year.

Now I have time and energy.

I feel good that I'm making progress. It's much better now than it was a couple days ago. Even if I abandon it again soon, next time I pick it up I'll have this much less to do.

Now I want to see whether my parents are willing to send me the dozen or so old, empty photo albums I saw lying around. They're for 3.5x5 prints and they're a style I like. Only icky albums are made for that size print these days. I sure hope my folks don't simply toss them.
