Yay!

My parents ARE willing to send me their old, unused 3.5x5 photo albums! Yay! I shall bake my father a pumpkin pie next time I see him. I shall juice some lentils and beets in my mother's name. Yay, yay, yay!

2000 is in good order now, too. Old e-mail to the rescue. Going through my mail from that time period is affecting me emotionally, more strongly than I would have predicted. I was so happy then, and it's all in ashes now... Well, I'll live. And I'll get this stuff done. That feels good.

Dianna

Lunch with Dianna today. All through the holidays I wondered how she was doing. I tried to phone her, but her cellphone was permanently busy. When I got back, I learned she'd gotten rid of the cellphone (that explains it!) and we arranged a lunch. Now I get to hear how she's been.

When I was on the phone with her, a day or three ago, her kids were talking in the background. They wanted to say hi to me. So okay, she puts each of them on in turn. Both girls' first question was "When are you going to come over and see us?" Awww! :-) How can I say no to that? So I'm sure we'll pick a time for an evening visit.

Those two are so friendly and warm. Just before the youngest handed the phone back to her mother, she said "I love you, CJ." What a sweetheart. I hope nothing in life turns them bitter, or makes them less friendly and happy.
