I have three pounds (!) of sliced bacon. What should I do with it?

1) Cook a lot of it, crumble it, and freeze for later inclusion in whatever-all?

2) Freeze it as a block?

3) Get a lot of wax paper or parchment paper and separate the strips with that, then freeze, so that it can be cooked/used as needed?

4) Other??

I would freeze it in packages each containing about the number of strips you would usually use at a go, and freeze them.

i tend to do the "freeze it separated by pieces of waxed paper" thing, but i may be a maniac.

I'd split it 50/50 and do options 1 and 3, although a bacon butty would probably feature as well.

I'm in favor of freezing it in portions you're likely to use up after thawing.

I tend to get through a pound of bacon before it is likely to go bad in the fridge (low carb. I eat a lot of bacon), so I freeze it in one-pound blocks.

If you really only make a couple of slices a week or something, then freezing it in those portions makes a lot of sense.

It's tedious, but I recommend separating the strips with wax paper. I used to do that and it was vv useful to pull out precisely as much bacon as I needed.

You can celebrate with bacon, if you wish.
