Today I will:
- Reply to a recruiter (I’m dreading writing this mail because she’s been really awesome and I have to tell her I took a different job)
- FINISH laundry INCLUDING PUTTING IT AWAY
- Install a new shelf in a cabinet (this mainly involves tons of finicky measuring, and only a little use of power tools)
- Clean out and reorganize the chest freezer -- progress made, but it's not truly done
- Properly deal with a big pile of papers I just sort of hid when people came over recently
There. I’ve committed. I’m going to give it a solid effort now.

Man, the mail to the recruiter was really difficult for me. I got a ton of stuff done on other tasks simply as a way of delaying facing that task.

I could wish that at this point in my life I had even STARTED to outgrow my tendency to postpone difficult chores. Sadly, no. Perhaps "with age comes wisdom" only if we work at it. I still procrastinate as much as I ever did. :)

A lot of the stuff I post is because public accountability does a serve as a motivator for me.
