Major painkiller morning heading into what is certain to be a major painkiller day, over here. Boy am I glad I live AFTER the invention of modern NSAIDs. (Heck, I am awfully glad I live after the invention of anesthesia and a few other things, as well.)

Hadn't seen that post. Nope, it's all the result of my being perfectly normal and healthy, according to the best that science has to offer. Pain at this level is the best one such as I can hope for. (Yes, I'm bitter.)

Oh gosh yes: I'm very glad I live in the (possibly narrow?) window when those work, too!

I think I would have killed myself by 16 if there hadn't been NSAID's.

I would have. Even with NSAIDs I've had times when the only thing that has saved me was that I was in too much pain to get to the kitchen.
