Project update: intro to CBT

It turns out Rob owns the "Great Courses" 24-lecture series on CBT from The Teaching Company in audio format.

It also turns out I often can't sleep in the wee hours of the morning.

What a great combination of factoids! :) I'll be going through that series of lectures as time and insomnia permit.

I haven't listened to that one, but I'd love to hear what you think of it.

As I listen I could jot down some notes here. First lecture: very introductory. What is therapy, what is CBT, here is some early evidence of how well it can work, what can we change and what can't we change. Haven't got to second lecture yet. :)

I've decided that I'm taking the high road, and not let my mind go where CBT normally would. Hope this all works out!

LOL! I admit I thought of that and then said to myself "nah, folks reading this journal will know I had been interested in cognitive and behavioral therapy". Heh. Good to know I have picked my friends right, though. Kudos to you. :) :) :)
