I joined the dark side.

That thing could eat up the entire rest of my life. Fortunately, I tend to lose interest in between clicking on something and seeing the results.* This allows me to continue to do homework.

Now I think I need the basic two-minute tutorial. Rob's been over the initial setup with me, which is good, or my e-mail inbox would be dead. But I don't really know how to use anything yet.

- When somebody does a "wall-to-wall" at you, how do you reply to their comment?
- What in blazes do you do with "gifts" (not!) of "things" (virtual) that want you to enable some app and donate even more of your time? Is ignoring these considered rude?
- When someone you do not recognize at all asks to friend you, what is the socially acceptable way to say "I haven't the foggiest who you are"?

Found ya!
OK, I have ONE app that I'm pretty sure you might find amusing. I'll send you one thing - you'll know it when you see it. *big evil grin*

Well, hell. I guess it was so cool, Facebook took it away. OK, to be fair, it was probably because it grossed people out - it was an app to "send" people Veterinary Emergencies. With real photos. Dang. It was awesome.

I have an account under my maiden name that I use for elementary and high school friends to find me. I have no mention of where I am now or my married name on there. I decided that anyone who knew me under my maiden name is welcome to link to me on FB, including you.

Sounds good to me! I'll go a-hunting.

I hope you get some enjoyment out of it. I log in to Facebook about once a day and find it relatively enjoyable, but hardly life-altering. :) Having said that, feel free to look me up. ;)

Personally, I ignore just about all of the apps. A few of them are fun, but I just blow away all the requests and invitations I get, because it isn't worth exploring them to find the few I might like.

Ignoring sounds like the best policy. Now I only wish I could shut the dratted things up when everyone ELSE uses them. :)

I would look you up if I had the foggiest notion what your name was. (A first name doesn't really narrow it down much).

Well, yes, that would be a problem. :) You can find me under Brian Jay, or bjay34@yahoo.com, I would assume.

The little notices don't bother me all that much. I generally just look at my home page and I don't think they show up there. But, then, I need to explore the new layout better, so maybe I am missing something.

I've found some old HS buddies -- and a cousin I'd lost track of. Like it for that. Don't do the games and stuff -- I'm told that folks don't know when you click "ignore".

Writing on walls is kind of public -- it's a bit embarrassing (for me) to read "were you the guy I made out with..." when two folks are re-meeting each other... But I don't want to not-see writings on walls, since sometimes they're cool.

There are a lot of you: Displaying 1 - 10 out of over 500 people results for: Cj Smith. Should you wish, I'm the only margaret bumby there. Pic of me in an empty storage cube.

I can quickly scan what's there -- and not look at most of it more deeply. LJ I'll read... all of ... and you can see how far behind I am now...
