Fetal pigs don't smell very good. Also, when you have seven people at your lab bench, it's hard to learn a blessed thing.

Gotta say, grown-up piggies in barnyards don't smell so great, either.

Also, 7 people?! Do you take a number in order to get a look at the lab examples?

True enough!

Yeah, seven was a bit much. We had a nice little lab table of three until people started dropping the course in large numbers. Every time a group dwindled to one, the one remaining person decided our table was a good place to sit. Then we got one annoying person who not only decided to quit showing up to the other lab section AND decided to DROP THE CLASS, but also decided she really wanted to attend evening lab AND SIT AT OUR TABLE. I told her it was really quite full, but she's very hard of listening. She and one of the other newer folk in the group are both the kind of folk who basically want to play with the dissection instead of learn how to identify things we'll be asked to find on the inevitable exam, so our table has become Giggle And Squish Central.

Ah well. Lab's basically over now. Last night I went and hung out at a different table for a good portion of the lab. Y'know, with students who are there to learn. :-) It worked out.
