[LJ-CUT TEXT="Mostly for my memory"]

1. If I feel fine when I try things that aren't on this diet, then I should scale way back on the strictness of the diet. WOOHOO I WILL EAT A GRAIN. Or a carrot, or maybe even (gasp!) a FRUIT. I should still avoid added sugars, non-whole grains, and most fruits, and I should still run screaming from the seriously nasty stuff like white flour / white rice / potatoes.

2. I'm right: we're NOT getting anywhere with this Lyme thing. I get to take the gram of antibiotics (and the antimalarial drug) 5 days on and 2 days off, to "lure it out and then get it". I should keep taking the probiotics throughout.

3. Maybe my pain is bartonella instead. The coinfection test was negative, but that test is widely known to suck. For that, I get to add doxycycline to the daily regimen. (This is now 19 pills, 30 drops of goo in water, and a subq injection, daily. Except weekends are lighter now.)

4. Maybe my pain is that serotonin allergy thing. My reading on that is off the charts. Every chronic pain patient she tests has some reaction there, but I'm just sky-high. I should start treating that. That's more drops of goo, which I order through the allergist; I haven't done that yet.

5. Maybe my pain is really neuromas again (or still). Got a local anesthetic injected into the nerve. WOW DOES THAT EVER HURT. (She offered me Versed for the next one.) Helped, but didn't completely wipe it out. Maybe I've got two problems of which this is one. I go in for another such injection in a week and a half. It's a desensitization series. The control group is the other foot. [/LJ-CUT]

I'm'a gonna have me some whole-grain bread.

Yes indeed. Not sure how much it will truly help, yet; if I can't have added sugars, I can't have most whole-grain breads (at least -- let's be practical -- the ones that rise), and if I can't have white flour, I can't eat anything like an American diet. But I can try baking.
