The chemistry exam went okay. I had two problems left to solve when time got short, so I think I made minor goofs on one and probably lost the other one entirely. At least, though, I felt pretty confident about the rest of it. I'm probably getting an A- on this test. Even if I made a stupid mistake somewhere in the rest of it, I didn't fail.

I need to be getting solid As on tests like this, not just an A-, because of things like that flunked quiz. But I'm not yet without hope.

Studying those ions was crucial. I had best not let myself forget them. Every morning from now on, I do an ion self-quiz.

Also today = chem lab quiz, perfect score (YAY). At least no one can claim I'm not preparing for lab ahead of time.

Bio next. That exam is tomorrow, so today from this moment on is bio studying. Vorticella, Volvox, Stentor, Plasmodium, Trypanosoma, amoeba, kelp; mitosis, meiosis, haploid, diploid, THANK GOODNESS FUNGI AREN'T ON THIS ONE. Fungi have the weirdest ploidy (ploidies?) in the universe. At least, I hope they do! Maybe something weirder is coming up next.

Oooooooooooo. Weekend project, one I should have done two weeks ago but at least I'll have it now: a flash-card quiz program. Loaded with ions and with the classifications of protists. For my cellphone, obviously.

I have an Ion....

Is it charged?

I guess that joke would be better if the Saturn ION were a hybrid or electric car, huh?

They were talking about making a hybrid ion once upon a time. That idea got trashed when GM decided to basically throw Saturn under the bus. I think there was someone in charge who didn't like the brand and it's pro-union history. Auros could give you more details. He's rather cranky over it.

Hee! I wish it were electric. Where I live, though, hybrids aren't practical -- the first 3/4 mile could be on battery, but the rest? All petrol. And electric, well, what's the range on 'em now?

A hydrogen ion walks into a bar. The bartender sees him and says, "You don't look so hot. Are you okay?" The H+ says, "Well, I think I just lost an electron." "Really, are you sure?" says the bartender. The H+ says, "I'm positive."

Our license plate is 1ON P04. We like it.

the flashcard program is a great idea :D
