That was awesome! Thanks for coming over. Thanks, also, to everyone who took leftovers; it probably seems silly on the face of things, but that really does help.

You folks are great. It was wonderful to catch up with high-school friends -- the Old Home Week conversation between Deb and Cheryl was delightful -- and it was great to see the MIT crowd again after perhaps a year or more.

OMG THE YEARBOOK PICTURES AIIIIIIEEEEEE. I am forever grateful to Margaret for telling me earnestly that I don't look like that any more. And the names, classmates I haven't seen since Kennedy Junior High, with all the memories they instantly brought back!

Dave, you totally win for finding wine with a cat on it. :-) We didn't open it (dangit!!) but we're GONNA. I think everything brought by other people got eaten, most of it vanishing completely. Deb, I owe you one small plastic container.

Folks in attendance, not in any particular order:
[livejournal.com profile] tryslora
[livejournal.com profile] warlord_mit
[livejournal.com profile] ken_r
[livejournal.com profile] jcgbigler and his family (of whom he's the only one on LJ)
[livejournal.com profile] hnybny and her fiance
[livejournal.com profile] eichin
[livejournal.com profile] _opus_, [livejournal.com profile] bearly_here, and their newborn son
[livejournal.com profile] nosrednayduj
[livejournal.com profile] 530nm330hz

I need mailing addresses for Dave/Ruth and for Deb. Just for small stuff, like the little pail of It's A Boy kisses.

Thanks again.

"ken_r" with an underscore...

And "amgreene" is some teenage girl; you want "530nm330hz".

Oh, and bearly_here, also with an underscore...
Sunday, September 14th, 2008 04:43 pm (UTC)
Thanks! Fixed all of those. Durrrr.

"bearly_here" with an underscore, too. :-)

Rather than trying to mail the kisses to us, find some out-of-control kid on the flight home who's being ignored by his parents, and give them to him.

Hah! You are eeeevil. I like this. Do you want the pail back, though? Sentimental value - first kid and all?

Nah, we've got a bunch at home. Bang it out into a project enclosure for the Maker Faire or something.

OK, done deal. ...Hey, at least I got the underscores in your LJ name right! I missed almost every other possible underscore. :-)

Thanks so much for having us! I enjoyed reminiscing about old Natick days and playing the "hey, don't I know you from ____" game :-)

That was fabulous! And WOW, that yearbook. Thanks for bringing it! That was amazing.

No worries on the plastic container! It was one of those buy a six pack things. And thank you for posting the journals!

Oops, took a week off lj and look what I missed! Glad you had such a good time!

Heh, life moves fast in LJ-land! Well, at least in CJ LJ land. CJ is not always known for advance planning. :-)

> I am forever grateful to Margaret for telling me earnestly that I don't look like that any more.

I realized later that we should have taken snapshots of those pictures so you could make LJ Icons out of them :-)
