Both management-provided and random staff thoughtfulness. Somebody will drive by a bagel place and think "Hmm, haven't had bagels in the office for a while" and pick up three dozen.
I've started to ask management to include some friendly options, with mixed success. At the pizza and ice cream party I was simply too late; the order had gone in. Other times they probably have tried. I don't really blame them. I seriously can't eat most things. Order from a Chinese restaurant -- oh, what'll CJ do? -- how about the kung pao chicken? 'Cept it doesn't work. I probably can't eat anything at all from oh, 90% of the restaurants we order from. It's no surprise it's not working out.

If the former, perhaps you could ask management to include some CJ-friendly options, and give 'em a list?
If the latter... maybe there's a way to educate those folks too?
