Today's free food in the office is Indian sweets from Saravanaa Bhavan.

I have no idea why I feel better when I post this stuff.

This might not be as bad as it is now in the future?

Most Indian sweets are made with chickpea flour and cream or butter/ghee and far less sugar than processed pastries and American cakes and cookies.

And there's one made out of carrots with no added sugar that you could probably eat now and not break your diet.

This recipe -- http://curiouslyravenous.blogspot.com/2008/01/carrot-halwa.html -- for carrot halwa has 2 T of sugar in it, but you can make it w/o sugar and possibly find it for sale w/o it.

They're soaked in honey, or sweet rosewater, or whatever, though -- and I know I've got to stay away from that. And carrots are on the verboten list for me right now.

I was talking to my "yeast control except I eat corn and pasta when I feel like it" coworker, and he asked whether I could crank up the antifungals (either prescription drugs or herbs and supplements) in exchange for a less restrictive diet. I'll ask my doctor about the tradeoffs involved. I would dearly love to be able to "cheat" sometimes.
