To the person who recently taught me patience: I never got to thank you. I probably just looked ticked. But thanks for the lesson. I even found a good use for it. :-)

To my younger self: don't be so worried about status. You know you can't be both looked up to and liked. Trust me, you'll ultimately be happier with liked.

To anyone who once had what they wanted, and threw it away: why? why? why? Maybe you didn't know that's what you were doing? Well, it turned out that it was. Some of you have found it again and you're happy. I hope the rest of you can too.

To a leader I respect: it was a pleasure to work with you, and I wish I could do so again.

To another leader I respect: it was a pleasure and an honor to serve alongside you.

To the flight instructor who showed me my first aileron roll: I wish you could see me now. You would be pleased with what you have wrought. :-)

I guess I would relay knowledge, understanding, compassion, rather than What To Do. I might even choose a time when I was enduring unintended consequences of a decision rather than the time just before the decision. I'd say "Now here is something you've learned..."
