No net at home since last night - And posting from a phone browser sucks!

Oh, lord, BTDT. I hope you get reconnected soon!

You're not missing much from us - we're both sicker than dogs from this cold and spending the day on the couch watching movies.

I hear your pain... been relying on my treo and borrowed 'puters myself, 'til I quit dithering on which new laptop to get...

*nod*. I might never have noticed, honestly, except that it was a weekend (and a long weekend at that) so I wasn't at work. Almost all my 'netting is from the office building.

Thats a bummer hope it gets fixed quickly.

I'm sure it will soon, because Rob comes home late tonight, and he's going to need it!

It sure does. Slow is way better than can't. :-/
Monday, May 26th, 2008 04:45 am (UTC)
aww - no fun at all!
Tuesday, May 27th, 2008 03:51 pm (UTC)
That's for sure! Of course, I probably wasted a lot less time this weekend than I otherwise might have. :-)

You can't see this. Nyah nyah :-)

I was actually kind of wondering if my resetting of the modem remotely last night had made any effect on it today. I assume it's still not working.

It never occurred to me to try. I'll call the cable people tonight.

Net is working again. I just had to power cycle things a few times.
Wednesday, May 28th, 2008 04:31 pm (UTC)
I tried that! Multiple times! Grrrrr. Well, I'm glad it's working now. Thanks!

One more thing...if there aren't any lights on except the "standby" light (which was the status this morning), then you have to push a little hidden button on the side marked (in tiny letters) "standby". Power cycling isn't enough. I think the cats and the Roomba can hit that button. I let the Roomba loose and the network died 5 minutes later. That was the cause.

Oh innnnnnteresting. That wasn't the status on Saturday, so it's also interesting that it morphed over time. I'll look for that hidden button next time I'm in there. It's good to know that the magic button isn't enough sometimes.
