Well. THAT was a difficult phone call to make. But I'm (as I knew I would be) immensely glad I called.

Thank you all, by the way, for all your support. I know that because I screened comments, it may look like almost nobody said a thing. That's so not true. The outpouring of kind words and of compassionate suggestions has been tremendous, and I really appreciate it.

It is, but not as much 'cause I didn't know him that well any more. I'm going to be there for the living, which will be enough of an emotional maelstrom.
