I've accomplished all the stuff I can usefully accomplish in the office right now. To do more I'd have to talk to some folks who are all currently in a long meeting. I'm sure I'll be insanely busy at 1pm, but now, I'm reduced to watching a video on filecabi.net that I really don't want to watch. (It's the bit about the tongue. GAIIIYIYIYUHH.)

HEY!! Thank you SO MUCH for the books from my wish list! I am going to be all over that Roomba one. Outfitting the Roomba with a webcam could be a home security device, don't you think? With remote control via the web page, you could scoot the thing around while you're on vacation and make sure you see all your furniture. :)

Having never actually done it, I can imagine in my case it might be a bit uncomfortable. But I should think it would also look pretty funny from someone else's perspective. :-)

You're very welcome. You'll have to let me know how the Roomba hacks go. I figured Rob might end up programming it to torment the kitties. ;-) A webcam on patrol would definitely be cool.

It might be a while until I get to any real hacking, but I will definitely post about it when I do anything. Robot minions are cool; robot minions you can mess with are VERY cool.

I think sometime if we get a ranch home, I could handle a Roomba. With a 2-story right now, no.

We also have a 2-story, though we care much more about the ground floor. The steps are wood and don't need vacuuming, and we keep doors shut upstairs leaving the cats limited to the hallway. Downstairs, though, wow. Sweeping up makes a MAJOR difference.
