My coworker got me this book for Christmas.

(This is the same coworker who gave me the Chinese-English dictionary. If we all have superpowers, this woman's superpower is finding excellent gifts. (Mine is packing.))

I'll have to do it at work. Rob will flee the area if I melt cheese at home.

I've done a coupla rounds of basic Swiss cheese fondue (simpler than the one in the book, for the record) at work and they've hoovered it all up. I think it's time to branch out. A havarti fondue and a hot oil pot? Sounds good to me!

[edit: Oh yeah, and last time I tried chocolate, too. That sucked -- bad consistency, mainly -- but it didn't seem to matter to them. They hoovered that up too. High-tech denizens will eat ANYthing.]

I wouldn't have thought I'd need a book, because fondue is fundamentally so simple. But I find I'm glad to have it. I've never tried a hot oil "fondue" before, for example, and this will give me a starting point.
