The hot tub is in. It was sixty-four degrees and rising this morning when I went out to look while brushing my teeth. We plan to run it at 104. Mmmmmm.

I am some weird kind of insomniac lately. I wake up at six, or four, or three-thirty in the morning, and can't get back to sleep. Rather than wake Rob up with my tossing and turning, I go to the guest bedroom (we have one now!) and fail to sleep up there. The cats love this opportunity to sleep on me. Then I fall back asleep just when I should be getting up to go to work. Today I came in an hour late.

Yet another person I just met (a gal named Laura, met her Tuesday) thinks I am cool because I do aerobatics. Methinks I had better get back in the air pretty soon now, before I'm just false-advertising my coolth. Wonder how much a Decathlon would cost used. My goals are much more modest since the stock crash!

I can't wait to go away for the weekend. Rob has guessed the location (I let him guess because I wanted him to have ample time for the flight planning etc), so I can say it here. We're going to Sedona. Mmm, pretty rocks, lovely canyons nearby to hike, and a nifty little untowered airport that's not only on top of a mesa (watch those downdrafts on short final!) but slanted so the predominant pattern is to land uphill and take off downhill (look out for planes coming atcha! no tower). I love that airport. I have never been to the town.

We close on the house next Wednesday. That'll be a relief, to have it over and done with.

I'm still in a very good mood.

My left ear itches.

End of report.

Congratulations! So...we gonna have a fondue party in the hot tub, eh? =) Out of curiosity, did the person who said they were gonna turn it, turn it -- or did you find someone else to do it?

That would be terrific. Scheduling is a bit of a problem for me (weekends are filling up fast). But I'm itching for this fondue party.

Gah, we had something like six different plans before it finally got done. Every time Kim and I would agree on something, it wouldn't happen. She usually had a good reason, but... [sigh] I'm just glad it's done now!

I am some weird kind of insomniac lately.

I woke up at 5am and couldn't fall asleep until 7. Then woke up at 8, and spent some time with Kathy until we got up to go jogging.

I slept pretty well Tuesday night. I was a bit too excited to fall asleep right away, but I managed to sleep in the next morning. :-)

It is cool that you do aerobatics, but that's not what makes you cool. Your coolness is intrinsic.

I hope you and Rob have lots of fun this weekend :-)

Ah, the advantages of not wandering off to a guest bedroom. ;-)

Your sleep patterns lately sound just like mine. Are you my evil twin? (Actually, I'm wondering whether some of it is environmental. My sleep patterns lately have EXACTLY matched Kim's.)

Thanks, I'm sure we will! :-)

CJ,
I love your journal. I didn't ever know you had it. I will have to come back more often. Please remind me.
Hugs,

Sounds a bit like mine...only the other way..can't get to sleep till late...but then have to get up at 5am. Want trade sleep patterns? Well I think my sleep patterns will work this weekend ([livejournal.com profile] captivatinglove got off to CDG ok...flight tracker couldn't find the flight yet. But I know she is on her way home...*BEG*)

Agree...it is cool that you do aerobatics..heck it is cool you fly...but that isn't what makes you cool...it is inside of you.

Have you tried the lovely little airport on top of Catalina island? It sounds a fair bit like the sedona airport, except surrounded by mostly water instead of desert.
