Went by the paint-your-own-pottery place to pick up last weekend's projects. Rob's came out beautifully; mine looks like it was made by a five-year-old. That's OK. I'm five inside. Plus whenever a spoon rest is in use you can't tell how pretty it is.

A cruise on the Bay, right underneath the Blue Angels. I had Rob's fancy astro-quality image-stabilizer binoculars. It was AWESOME. Go see Rob's pictures!

Wonderful birthday party with a nearly-randomly-selected group of a dozen or so friends. Sufficiently varied pizza, interesting stories and conversations, yummy wine, fun games, and delicious additions such as fudge and cheese. Now I wanna play more card games and such! (K, I'm sorry Super Scrabble didn't work out.)

Opened a handful of cards this morning. Oh man, I owe my sister big time. :-)

This afternoon was a class on oxy-acetylene cutting and welding at the Tech Shop, followed by me making some pancakes for Rob. Soon I'll get showered and dressed decently for a friend's wedding reception.

Years ago (I won't say how many) I lived in a mobile home park just on the other side of the Mt. View-Alviso freeway from Moffett Field. I worked at Fairchild and had to pull OT one Saturday and was feeling really down because the Angles were flying that weekend and I couldn't go to see them.

So, I got home and decided to listen to my brand-spanking-new album of the music from "Star Wars". I had just put it on when I heard the first jet fly over. I watched the entire fly over from my porch while listening to "Star Wars" and so enjoyed the jets flying in time to the music.

Absolutely frakkin' awesome!

I love it when something like that serendipitously comes together! (Wow, nice long word there - do I get extra points?) I bet the music and the jets together were way better than either one alone.

Wow, that's ratcheting up the challenge rating. I always just made pancakes in a Teflon frying pan, but I guess the welding torch would be faster. Do you get to do more interesting shapes that way?

You have to wear closed-toe shoes because of all the little pancake sparks.

Next I want to learn 3D printing using pancake batter.

Eh, not a big deal. I had a good time watching you spout "You suck" on nearly every play in the card game.
Thanks for inviting me.

It was definitely that kind of game! :-) Thanks for coming!
