Last weekend Rob and I were calling in Los Angeles. Sunday's location happens to be next to a Goodwill store with a rather large and fun selection of books.

Fun stuff
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish: Dr. Seuss
When Body Language Goes Bad: Scott Adams
Words You Don't Want to Hear During your Annual Performance Review: Scott Adams
Message in a Bottle: Nicholas Sparks

Random skills I wish I had
Built-Ins: Time-Life series on home repair and improvement
Floors and Stairways: Time-Life series on home repair and improvement
Plumbing: Time-Life series on home repair and improvement
Kitchens and Bathrooms: Time-Life series on home repair and improvement

Textbooks on stuff I better learn fast
Biology: Concepts and Connections, second edition: Campbell, Mitchell, and Reece
Chemistry, fourth edition: Ebbing
Microbiology: A Human Perspective: Nester, Roberts, Pearsall, Anderson, Nester
Introduction to Organic Chemistry: Goldwhite

Too interesting to leave alone
Metabolic and Endocrine Physiology: Tepperman*
1985 Year Book of Sports Medicine: Krakauer, Anderson, George, Shephard, and Torg**

*all about humans, but hey, other mammals can't be THAT different
**OH EM GEE the PICTURES aiiiieee

The picture includes Rob's haul as well as mine. His was just as voluminous, and included a lot of videos to watch while he's on his stationary bike and a lot of books to read on airplanes.

Must get cracking on those textbooks.

That sounds like quite the haul. Cool! I've never thought of looking at Goodwill for books!

Most Goodwills I've seen have one bookshelf containing a sad collection of torn-up old paperbacks, a couple of pieces of Tupperware, and one-third of a coloring book which has clearly been used. This one we found in LA is quite a gem.
