Second time on the rower in one week -- I've "graduated" to twice a week. Boy, that seat rips up the skin on my backside.

What to wear to my sister's wedding? Some people may keep a closet full of wedding-appropriate attire, but I'm just a leetle more practical. So I had some sewing to do. Floor-length hide-the-shoes palazzo pants, a simple sleeveless shirt, and a filmy overjacket I already had. Now that the outfit is almost complete, of course, I'm second-guessing everything about it, to the point where I don't want to wear it at all. *sigh* But frankly there's only one person who will come to this event and spend one microsecond of thought on how bad I look, and NOTHING would make her think I looked good, so I should just get over myself and wear the damn thing.

My favorite are all the strapless / halter styles with EXTRA padding. As if I want any to begin with.

I did find something Sunday. It's cute, silk, and has enough coverage to allow a bra. It may not be dressy enough, but it "will do." I wish S had given a little more guidance on level of formality than dresses/suits. Cocktail dress? Afternoon dress? Sequins? I am afraid I will be underdressed.

Oh no kidding. Padding does NOT equal support, people! I wonder if those styles are made for people with, ahem, lab-created chests. Those folk often need a lot less in the way of support and they kind of like the more-is-better idea.

I bet you will be just fine. Silk isn't casual sportswear, and you have a good eye for style. With that level of guidance there will probably be a bit of variation, too, so we'll all fit in.

Still I have to keep reminding myself: this event is NOT about ME and how good I look! Will I ever grow up past the whole teenage it's-all-about-me angst? :-)
