Second time on the rower in one week -- I've "graduated" to twice a week. Boy, that seat rips up the skin on my backside.
What to wear to my sister's wedding? Some people may keep a closet full of wedding-appropriate attire, but I'm just a leetle more practical. So I had some sewing to do. Floor-length hide-the-shoes palazzo pants, a simple sleeveless shirt, and a filmy overjacket I already had. Now that the outfit is almost complete, of course, I'm second-guessing everything about it, to the point where I don't want to wear it at all. *sigh* But frankly there's only one person who will come to this event and spend one microsecond of thought on how bad I look, and NOTHING would make her think I looked good, so I should just get over myself and wear the damn thing.

your outfit sounds lovely. dressy enough for the occasion but not ridiculously uncomfortable for you (that's reserved for the wedding party *smirk*).
i'm tempted to suggest you take the fabric scraps and throw together some sort of shoe covering ... then you can say you've got shoes to match! :)
and congrats on the rower progress!

Hah! I know that feeling. Well, ok, I have a beautiful red silk shantung Christmas-or-New-Years dress for someone else's body. I have some wedding-appropriate clothing for, um, WINTER. I am NOT wearing VELVET in JULY. Even if it does show off my favorite necklace very prettily.
Hahahaha shoe covering! I like it! It would be truly heinous, of course, and I'd never actually wear it.
Thanks!
