Sometimes my emotions have an obvious proximate cause. Other times I feel like they're some kind of weather system: today is gray and grim, instead of bright and sunny, and there's not a thing I can do about it.

This morning was gray and grim in a big way. (Maybe because yesterday evening was.) But I got to work a little early, found and fixed a bug on the server, and then went to eat Indian food with [livejournal.com profile] tiger_spot, and somehow by now the "weather" is much better.

I really like it when something like that lifts.

Notes to Self: Getting stuff done helps. Going outdoors helps. Social life helps.

Oo, what a tasty question! Week after next. (Next week I'm in San Diego.) Anything but Monday.

Sure! Noonish? Which instance of Indian food shall we go find?

Other invitees welcome if you like.

I could use that same note to self, really.

Glad your weather has improved. It's a good way to look at things.

Funny how I can most easily remember those notes when I'm already feeling cheerful. Ah well!
