Over the past few weeks, several of us (following ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
rampling's ideas/direction) organized a gift basket for cassidyrose and catzen, two friends who've been through way too much lately. Last night, we got to deliver it, and we hung out for a while to talk. I have the feeling the talking was just as good as the gifts, at least at that moment; the gifts will of course last a little longer. :-)
I'm so glad I was included in all this. I don't knowcassidyrose and catzen all that well, but I know them through LJ, and I know how rough their lives have been over the past few months. I can empathize deeply whether or not we've ever so much as done lunch. I was grateful for the opportunity to show my caring and friendship.
I want to do more stuff like this in my life.
