Friendship

Over the past few weeks, several of us (following [livejournal.com profile] rampling's ideas/direction) organized a gift basket for [livejournal.com profile] cassidyrose and [livejournal.com profile] catzen, two friends who've been through way too much lately. Last night, we got to deliver it, and we hung out for a while to talk. I have the feeling the talking was just as good as the gifts, at least at that moment; the gifts will of course last a little longer. :-)

I'm so glad I was included in all this. I don't know [livejournal.com profile] cassidyrose and [livejournal.com profile] catzen all that well, but I know them through LJ, and I know how rough their lives have been over the past few months. I can empathize deeply whether or not we've ever so much as done lunch. I was grateful for the opportunity to show my caring and friendship.

I want to do more stuff like this in my life.

It's a good feeling, isn't it?

You did indeed do good. Enjoy the happiness now. My hat would be off to you if I had one with me.

Yes, the talking was wonderful. Getting to hang out with all of you last night was just what [livejournal.com profile] catzen and I needed. It means a lot to both of us that not only we were given tangible gifts, but that we were also given the gifts of companionship and time of our friends.

I know you don't know us all that well, but I feel like I know you due to some of our shared experiences--and of course, LJ helps. I hope we can get to know each other better on a personal level.

Well, we've never done lunch, but....;-P

Thank you again.

You are so, so, so welcome. :-)

And yeah, LJ does help, doesn't it? Online social lives are nifty that way.
