The next sentence will mean nothing to most folk on my friends list, so I'll explain that this is the project causing all the hard work, long hours, stress, trips to San Diego, hard drinking, muttered comments about homicide, etc etc since about December.

The u520 passed.

This is GREAT news to get just before vacation!

I'm about to stop reading LJ for two and a half weeks. I may post, may not; access will be spotty at best. I will do only the barest skim of the tiniest filter when I get back.

I'm passing along the word to Layer's LJ friends - Layer is in the hospital. She has a kidney infection and may be in the hospital up to 14 days.

She is in UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion
1600 Divisadero St.
San Francisco, CA 94115
(415) 567-6600

Her room number is 517. I think she's going crazy because she's lucid but trapped in a small room with crappy t.v.

Visitors would be great...visiting hours are 9 to 9 p.m. (trashy romance novels and magazines are welcomed).

Pass the word to her friends please.
Thanks,
Whirlybirdgirl

Oh no! Thanks for the news. Depending on when she gets out we may be able to call or visit; right now we are in Italy. If I were home she would have about ten pounds of trashy romance novels coming. Please let her know Rob and I are thinking about her and wishing her a speedy recovery!
