101 spotty, wriggly, and potentially ill-behaved little square dance sequences. That's what I've got. It's not only what I need but also something of a safety margin. More of a cushion would be nice, but I've got a day job, bills are due, taxes are due, and I have no groceries in the house -- in short, I need to do other things.

I've been working hard to make sure the calls flow well and that the choreo is interesting as well as challenging. As is usual for a dance I've been told to make particularly challenging, I am worried about it not being hard enough. (Usually I then show up and realize it's plenty hard. Fortunately, this group likes difficult stuff if the caller gives them extra time.)

I surface for air now. Bills, taxes, a very overfull inbox!, dinner, and cleaning up what the cat did. Here we go.

C-Gulls. Now is a great time for me to pick your brain on the timing, music, and dress code they seem to like. :-)

I had so little to write because I got the "short format" dance, paired with a C3B weekend at Stuart Bunch. Thank goodness I have a beeeeeeeeeg pile of C3B hanging around already!

Timing: Biggest gripe for me was the speed. I believe they like the difficulty, but also time to get it. I was asked maybe to keep pictures so I could help them with formations. I also ended up thinking what was the point of calling a sandwich or interlace, if I then have to cue it.

Music: I stay away from my high energy freestyle stuff, but otherwise I've always played music that I personally like to dance to. Don't fret over that too much. They like to bop too.

Dress code: I wear shorts and a T-shirt - normal challenge attire. You do not need to "look like a caller".

Hope this helps some.

Perfect - thank you. That's exactly the info I needed.

(I hope I've kept enough pictures!)
