Thanks to everyone for the sympathetic comments. I know that expressions of empathy over the electrons can be regarded as not very useful, but right now, THEY MEAN A LOT TO ME. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

P.S. The picture of baby otters is helping a lot too.

- because I do that well lately. Meh.

I have no pictures but this for you: tonight at SATB's C2 teach, a couple of dancers came back for the first night in months. They're a lovely couple; he's kind a gentle and she's a bit acerbic. I've wondered why I get along with them both. He had two strokes in short order a few months ago, and they've not been dancing.

They brought their new puppy, "Salsa", a bichon if I'm right, and the roomful of people sat in chairs entranced by this little thing bounding across the linoleum at a gallop, then sliding perilously close to walls, yipping and hands and repeating the process. She particularly liked the streaked hair of one dancer who knelt to play.

It isn't much maybe, but like your adorable otters, it reminds me of how much simple good there is. I know - I'm a sentimental schmuck sometimes.

Yes. IM conversation from last night:
me: Baby OTTERS! They are so FUCKING CUTE!
me: And y'know, a world with that amount of cuteness in it is still worth being in for a while, know what I mean?

Yeah. That.

My cats do that! They like to chase the mousie-toy across the (hardwood floored) living room and then skid into the front door *wham*.

(At least, I assume they like it. They certainly keep doing it. And I like it.)

(And one of my cats likes to take corners really fast and start to skid and scrabble his claws on the floor. I swear he does it on purpose.)
