It occurs to me, sitting here finishing the return addresses on my Christmas cards, that I know a fascinatingly wide variety of pretty neat people. I just read a few off to my parents. "Owns a vineyard. Professor at Harvard. Lived in Cairo last I saw her. Professional musician. Won the Hugo this year. Knows everything about buying cars and helped me with mine. Another vineyard. Flight instructor. Independently wealthy. More prepared for the apocalypse than it is possible to be. Chiropractor. Square dance caller. Most knowledgeable birder I know..." Yeah. Nifty wide-ranging bunch of friends. This is a cool thing.
Oh, if you won the Hugo (and you know who I'm talking to, don't you? Yes you do), I don't, technically speaking, have your address. Your card will be, um, later than the others. :-/ Send me e-mail?

Me, I'm in a job that's stressful enough that I honestly think I can't take it. It's otherwise a wonderful job and I suspect a lot of the stress is self-imposed, but still, I'm miserable. If I can't hack it, it doesn't matter what the reason is. My only problem now is figuring out what to DO about it. I'd probably do the same to myself in any other job. Gah!!
Other than that (and this awful cold) I'm doing well. Rob is happy and healthy and I'm surrounded by three purring cats. :)
