Woohoo! Use Up the Cheese Day was a success, at least in the sense that all the cheese is gone. (Well, almost all. There's a thin layer on the bottom of my larger fondue pot. The under-pot warmer was a little overzealous, though, so that layer doesn't taste as good any more.)

It's a lot more work when I'm the only one working on it. Last time someone else volunteered to chop bread and apples. Today I was on my feet from about 4 until everyone left for the hockey game, and then I got to carry all the cooking gear to my car.

Now that I'm home and I've rested a bit, I get to clean it all.

Then maybe I can make a pie. It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie. Mmmmmmmmpie. I'll just need a way to carry it to Oxnard.

Oh yeah, and laundry, and packing. Ooo, and I just thought of a GREAT gift for someone I'll see there, if only I can pull it off in time.

Our CEO at work says I'm high-energy. HA! He should have met me three years ago. THAT was high-energy.

Yes indeed, that was a fairly important sense! I think by the end people were tired of it, but THAT'S NOT THE POINT. It's GONE; that's the point. ;)

You had too much cheese? That seems so hard to imagine! :)

Naw, I was just too full to continue. Everyone else was sufficiently tired of cheese that they wanted a different theme for the next week's social gathering. :-)
